Description

NABUMETONE belongs to a group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) indicated to relieve signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Osteoarthritis is caused by the breakdown of the joint lining, whereas rheumatoid arthritis is caused by swelling of the joint linings.

 

NABUMETONE contains Nabumetone, which works by blocking the effect of chemical messengers that cause pain, fever, and inflammation. Thereby, it helps treat osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

 

In some cases, NABUMETONE may cause side effects such as diarrhoea, nausea, constipation, stomach ache, and wind. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to the doctor if any of the side effects persist or worsen.

 

Avoid taking NABUMETONE during the last three months of pregnancy or if you are breastfeeding. This medicine may cause dizziness; drive only if you are alert. NABUMETONE is not recommended for children as safety and effectiveness have not been established.
