FLUCONAZOLE+TINIDAZOLE belongs to a class of medication called anti-infectives used to treat various fungal and bacterial infections. Also, FLUCONAZOLE+TINIDAZOLE may be used to treat infections such as giardiasis and amoebiasis (stomach infections), and trichomoniasis (genital infection) caused by protozoa. Fungal infection is a disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and causes infection. Fungal infections may affect the skin and spread into bones, tissues, organs, or the whole body. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly.

FLUCONAZOLE+TINIDAZOLE is a combination of two drugs, namely: Fluconazole (antifungal) and Tinidazole (antiprotozoal). Fluconazole belongs to the class of antifungals that works by damaging the fungal cell membranes and killing fungi. Tinidazole belongs to the class of antiprotozoals that works by damaging the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria and protozoa and inhibits the formation of new DNA. Thereby, killing micro-organisms and clearing the infection.

Take FLUCONAZOLE+TINIDAZOLE as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take FLUCONAZOLE+TINIDAZOLE for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, headache, skin rash or itching, loss of appetite, stomach pain, or cramps. Most of these side effects of FLUCONAZOLE+TINIDAZOLE do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects worsen or persist, please consult your doctor.
